Charlotte, NC · Your space, my space, or online
Not in the mirror — in how you live. I train so you can still hike at 50, keep up on the trip, and say yes to whatever comes up. Strength is just how you get there. One-on-one, wherever works for you.
Who I train
Men, women, total beginners, people who've been lifting for years. I've trained people who couldn't do one push-up and people chasing a PR. The program changes completely. The attention doesn't.
Never lifted. No idea where to begin. Not interested in being the person who looks lost. Good — we start exactly where you are, and nobody's watching.
You used to be in shape. Then life. You want back in without blowing out a knee in week one trying to prove something.
You lift, you run, you play. You've stalled, or you're training hard and programming badly. That's a physiology problem, and it's literally my degree. Yes, I coach experienced lifters — I've been under a bar for twenty years myself.
A bad knee, a surgery, a number your doctor keeps circling. Most trainers guess here or send you away. I don't have to do either.
How it works
Twenty minutes, free. What you want, what's gotten in the way, whether we're a fit. No pitch, no pressure.
You fill out a real intake so I know what I'm working with before I put you under a barbell.
First session is movement screening and baselines, wherever we're training, with whatever equipment we've got.
Built for your body, your schedule, your gear. Reassessed every six weeks so it keeps working.
Packages
Monthly if you want a set schedule and the best rate. A package if you want flexibility. Both include programming between sessions, form review, and text access to me. Paid up front.
Also available · Drop-in $120 · 30-minute sessions from $50 · Online coaching $52 a week · Hybrid $98 a week · Live virtual $75 · Assessment + 12-week plan $250
About
Master's in exercise physiology, twenty-plus years as a personal trainer, and somewhere north of 2,500 fitness classes taught. For a while I did the corporate healthcare thing on top of all that, while people kept asking me to train them and I kept saying I didn't have time.
I have time now. So here we are.
The degree isn't decoration. It means I can tell you why your program is built the way it is, change it when your body doesn't do what the textbook says, and train around an injury instead of pretending it isn't there. The 2,500 classes are the other half — that's where you learn to actually coach a real person in real time, not just write a good program on paper.
And the name is the point. I hike, I lift, I travel, I'm the one in the neon at the festival. That's not separate from the training — it's the reason for it. I live in color, and I want my clients strong enough to do the same.
Training for the life, not the mirror. That's the whole goal — not a size, not a number, just a body that says yes.
Questions
Your call. I train clients in their own homes, apartment gyms, and garages — I bring whatever's missing. I've also got gym space available if you'd rather train somewhere with full equipment. And virtual works too. Plenty of people do a mix.
Then we start with bodyweight, which goes further than most people think, and I'll tell you exactly what's worth buying and in what order. You don't need a home gym to start.
No, and there's no floor. If you can get out of a chair, there's a version of this that works. Starting from a low baseline usually means faster progress, not slower.
No. I'm a lot of things — a drill sergeant isn't one of them. Nobody ever got stronger because a stranger screamed at them in their own living room.
Usually structure and recovery. Most people who plateau are working hard with no real progression, no deload, and no measurement. That's the part I went to school for.
Bring it. You'll fill out a health history first, and if anything in it warrants it, I'll ask for clearance from your doctor before we start. I'm a fitness professional, not a physician — I work alongside your medical care, not instead of it.
Charlotte and the surrounding area. If I'm coming to you, travel within 10 miles is included and there's a small fee past that. Training at my gym space, no travel fee. Online clients can be anywhere.
24 hours or more, no charge — reschedule freely. Between 12 and 24 hours, half the session rate. Under 12 hours or a no-show, charged in full. Life happens and I'd rather be flexible than rigid, but the schedule only works if it holds.
Twenty minutes, free, no obligation. Tell me what you're after and I'll tell you straight whether I can help.
